A hidden gem in Encinita since 1973, Quail Flower Barn is located on scenic Quail Gardens Drive, just north of the San Diego Botanical Gardens. We specialize in beautiful garden gifts, including indoor and outdoor plants, planters, and garden art. We also feature local raw honey, homemade organic natural preserves, organic peanut butter spread, pickles and more. We also have ionized alkaline water available for sale. Definitely worth checking out if your looking for a cool gift or hoping to add to your garden. The owner and store keeper, Cheryl Kohn, is personable and knowledgeable in plants and gardening.
Our newest attraction is the introduction of raw, local unfiltered honey provided by some of our finest local bee keepers including James Mcdonald of the Encinitas Bee Company.
We homesteaded the “property” living in a tent while we built the house, then the barn. Our focus was a plant nursery but what was our biggest drawing factor was being next to the Paul Ecke Poinsettia Ranch. With the ranch only wholesale we where handed a retail opportunity by the ranch, with referrals. These referrals blossomed into a mecca for floral quality poinsettia at Christmas time. Today we are still providing a high quality poinsettia.
